FEBC is focused on three pillars of corporate responsibility – diversity and inclusion, social impact and environmental. By reducing carbon footprints, embracing fair trade, engaging in charitable giving and changing corporate policies to benefit the environment, we drive improvements that will make a lasting difference.
Moving together to make a difference
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Inclusion is at the heart of our values at FEBC. It’s about ensuring everyone is represented, regardless of their cultural background or differences. As a result, we give everyone access to the same opportunities to be their best and feel supported. FEBC recognizes and believes in the importance of diversity, and it makes good business sense too. With inclusion comes diversity, which means we can provide creative ideas and innovative solutions to achieve outcomes together.
We make a positive change by giving back. Driven by our purpose, our Corporate Social Responsibility focuses on priority areas that support a fairer, more sustainable future. For example, we have recently set up an initiative with Treedom to plant trees as our projects are completed.
Innovative solutions help us protect our planet. FEBC places great importance on environmental sustainability. This is reflected in the immense effort that the team put into attaining ISO 14000. ISO 14000 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to help organizations minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment; comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements.
We can have the capabilities and resources to meet the requirements for the LEED certification, the most widely used and well-recognized green building rating system worldwide. LEED uses a point system categorized into five areas; sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, materials and resources.
